Most Read Reviews of 2025 So Far at Doctors of Running
By DOR Editorial Team

Today we're taking a quick look at the reviews that YOU have been tuning in for most at Doctors of Running. It's always interesting to see both the shoes that always stand out year to year among runners and the new favorites that sneak into the scene and make a big splash.

Honorable Mentions (5-10)

Nike Vomero Plus | Review

The new Plus and Premium models spurred a lot of interest this year.

New Balance Rebel v5 | Review

It will be of no surprise to see this shoe in the top five for 2026.

ASICS GT-2000 13 | Review
Runners with stability needs have craved for good options, and this is one of the best this decade.

New Balance 880 v15 |
Review

The ultimate in run store retail for New Balance, the 880 represents the classic combo of solid performance with good fit.

Mizuno Neo Zen | Review
A huge breakout shoe for Mizuno, it gave them their most modern training option yet - and it happens to be one of the best ones in the market.

Top Five Most Read Reviews of 2025

HOKA Clifton 10
Review

It should be no surprise to anyone that the Clifton remains one of the not just most read shoes on our website, but most bought running shoes period. Its legacy for being both a high stacked training option and comfortable, reliable option for daily usage has made it a fan favorite trainer. The Clifton 10 digs a bit more back into its running roots, providing a nice, comfortable experience underfoot that is also stable. It also marks the first time HOKA moves the shoe from 5mm to 8mm.

ASICS Novablast 5
Review

The biggest thing you will see with the rest of the shoes on this list is value. The Novablast is one of those easy recommendations that sits above most trainers in quality and performance, and provides enough spunk to do a little bit of everything if you had to squeeze it into one shoe. The Novablast 5 was a late 2024 release that picked up steam in 2025. It is one of those shoes that has continued to be an easy recommendation for our team as an option to get runners interested in running thanks to its bouncy ride that seems to get along with just about everyone.

New Balance Rebel v4
Review

Another 2024 release that continued it's popularity into 2025, the Rebel v4 was actually a really polarizing shoe for our team due to its geometry. Those that loved it really loved it, and those that it didn't match up with had a lot of difficulties getting mileage. The Rebel series overcame our team's feelings on the shoe though, continuing its popularity with the running scene thanks to its affordable versatility. A continuing theme is the desire for a shoe that checks as many boxes as possible, especially with costs of footwear being so high.

adidas Adizero Evo SL
Review

There is no shoe in 2025 we got asked about more than the Evo SL. Can you compare it to x? Is x shoe better than the Evo SL? The shoe developed a very quick following after it's releasing in 2024 that helped fuel a lot of interest. Value is a big theme on this list, and this for runners was probably the most value per oz of the year.

#1
On Cloudrunner 2
Review

Yes, the On Cloudrunner 2 was our #1 most read review of 2025, and it wasn't even close. Released in 2024, this very mild stability trainer is one that gets "on" with many runners. It also is one of the greatest walking shoes in the market (and Version 3 keeps that well alive, review coming soon). At $150 base price originally and steadily declining as the latest Cloudrunner releases, it's one of On's most well-priced pieces. For intermediate runners, it may not be the top running shoe option, but a large portion of runners aren't seeking those kind of shoes. The Cloudrunner does the basic things well enough, looks good, is priced fairly decent, and just checks a lot of boxes that people new to the sport want.
